Created to support breast cancer awareness this “Allison” necklace features the new breast cancer commemorative coin released from the US Mint in March of 2018.  This proof quality coin is .999 silver and is surrounded with a custom made bezel. It is hung on a strand of large, high luster freshwater pearls.  The pearls were carefully selected for their luster and their pink color. All the findings and toggle clasp are sterling silver.

The coin has two interesting designs.  The obverse side features an older woman who has her hands on her chest and a relieved expression on her face. The younger woman, with a scarf on her head, holds one hand over her chest and the other raised in a fist as if she is ready to fight. A butterfly flies above the two women. The reverse side “ depicts a Tiger Swallowtail butterfly in flight, a symbol of hope.
